OnlySend is a free app for writing emails and sending them through Resend. Use your own domain and keep downloaded copies on your computer.
The app is free. You need your own domain and a Resend account; their costs and limits apply separately.
For Linux, Windows, and macOS
WHAT IT DOES TODAY
Resend handles sending and optional receiving. OnlySend gives you a desktop interface and keeps downloaded messages available offline.
Built with Rust and Tauri. SQLite stores the local archive so you can read downloaded messages offline.
Switch between Resend accounts, each with its own mail and settings.
Use a domain you already own. Manage domains, sender addresses, and DNS configuration from the app.
Write rich-text emails with attachments, CC, BCC, and Reply-To, instead of composing API requests.
Downloaded messages stay in your local archive, even if they disappear from Resend’s lists. Receiving is optional.
WHY THIS PROJECT EXISTS
Using your domain for a few emails does not always justify a whole office suite. OnlySend connects a Resend account to a desktop editor. The app is free and open source.
OnlySend does not charge for the app or per sender address. Resend handles email delivery under its own plans and limits, including domain limits. You provide a registered domain.
These are paid subscriptions per user, with hosted email and productivity tools. They make sense when you also need the suite and its team features.
OnlySend focuses on desktop email through Resend. It does not replace a collaboration suite or include domain registration.

SETUP
Receiving changes your mail routing. New MX records can redirect existing mail; review the DNS instructions before making changes.
Install OnlySend and connect your Resend account with OAuth or an API key.
Follow the setup wizard to choose your domains and sender addresses. Sending needs a verified domain.
Compose your message from your desktop. Enable receiving only if you want an inbox.
Yes. OnlySend is free to download and use, with its source code available under GPL-2.0-only. Your domain registration and Resend service are separate. Resend offers a free plan with limits and paid plans for other needs.
No. Resend processes sending and receiving on its servers, and recipients’ providers handle their copies too. OnlySend stores its downloaded archive on your computer. It is not a fully local email delivery system.
A Resend account and access to your domain’s DNS settings. Your domain must be verified to send email. Resend’s own pricing and service limits apply.
No separate OnlySend mail server is required. OnlySend uses Resend for sending and receiving. Receiving is optional.
Downloaded messages stay locally, even if they disappear from Resend’s lists. Disconnecting an account does not erase its local archive. Local storage is not encrypted. Offline copies include message bodies and attachment metadata, but not attachment files or remote images.
Linux builds are available as .deb and .AppImage, Windows as .exe, and macOS as .dmg for Intel and Apple Silicon. macOS builds are not notarized and may need approval in Privacy & Security. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning.
